I work in a restaurant and I know what a pain it is when people come in minutes before close. However, I didn't think ordering fast food 40 minutes before close would be super rude. Here I am, at 9:02, and I'm heading out with my food. They really made it seem like a huge inconvenience. Very disappointed. It's not like I rolled up at 9:25.
For my tastes, I'd change a few recipes. Didn't like the taste of the lo mein at all. Couldn't get past that in order to enjoy the rest of the food I ordered. My favorite parts of that meal: drink refills and a fortune cookie.
Love this place! I stop at panda express whenever I get a chance. I have not found one yet with anything but good service and great food!
We usually have a good experience here other than the food sometimes taking a while in the drive thru. I stopped tonight after work after checking that they close at 9:30. I was greeted by a very rude young lady who said "we close in 10 minutes so we're out of a lot of food and everything is made to order". I told her that I thought they closed at 9:30 (it was 8:48 when I got there). She replied and said the drive thru does close at that time but that the cook doesn't like to cook past 9 because they don't want to waste food. Which I can kind of understand, but she was very rude. A few of the things I ordered she kept saying "umm that will take about 5 minutes to make", like she was trying to convince me not to order it.

I’ve been a weekend regular for the last year, and I can’t complain with the quality of their dishes. The food is always well cooked (depending on whose cooking), and taste great!
Food was just okay. I use to love Panda express at the Maplewood mall and this Panda Express the noodles I had had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while because they were hard and chewy. The egg rolls weren't very good, and the chicken we got had too much breading.
Anyways to the one or two Panda employees who are always so kind and genuine thank you for your services!
So the reason I am giving this Panda Express four stars and not five is because as a regular (you should feel comfortable) but with the unwelcoming presence of many *not all* employees is unappealing to a customer. A few of them I’ve noticed always have an attitude, become short tempered easily, and are pure lazy. Word of advice: If you don’t want to be there, then don’t be there. Most of their customer service is poorly presented. Simple as that. Also depending on whose serving you, expect a lack of portion size.
