BB makeup is the only makeup I will wear. I always get compliments on how clear my face looks. When I order, if they are out of stock on something they will call you personally and either help you pick a different color of something or mail it to you when it becomes available. These girls are so helpful. The owner Brooke, wants everyone to feel beautiful!!
Brooke treated my daughter like a second class citizen for not wanting certain makeup that just wasn't her style - she had to wipe off foundation immediately in the car - it was two shades too dark and looked orange. I also want to point out that Brooke used dirty makeup brushes that obviously hadn't been cleaned in who-knows-how-long. My daughter has sensitive skin and broke out within an hour.
All in all, she overbooks, and the place just lacks class. There's not even a place to sit and wait - which is difficult when she overbooks and stacks people in the place. It feels like a "makeup mill".
Was such a disappointing experience after all the hype. Overpriced and awkward experience. Don't go!
I understand that it may be difficult to fully know until you actually see the spot in person or maybe even get started. But THAT is what I should have been told. Not that it can totally go away! Also, this employee claims she never even made that statement and has thrown other wild lies out in the air. I finally found the conversation and sent Brooke the screenshot that shows her employee, did in fact make that statement and she blocked me and never responded.
A couple months ago Brooke was running a deal for 50% off of a spot removal treatment and in her post she had posted the names of who you could contact to get a quote. I sent photos of the spot I wanted removed to one of her employees. Her employee came back with the response of “with the 50% off it’d be $75 and can totally go away.” GREAT. So basically I thought that means, I pay $75 and the spot I want removed goes away, so I happily booked an appointment. Once she was almost done with my session this employee told me “This is deeper than I thought it was, you might need more than one session.” I’m angry at this point because the employee had been extremely fake and was awkward, making the whole session uncomfortable and completely went back on what she had said. Not only that, the session only took her maybe 10-15 minutes when she claimed that she couldn’t go any deeper because it would lead to scarring and take away too much skin. When she was done, she had said for the second time that I will “possibly” need another session and to let her know what it looks like when it’s healed which could take 2-4 weeks. Well, obviously it never healed or I wouldn’t be posting this.
LOVE Brooke and BB Makeup Bar! I am in my late 40's, overweight, and Brooke makes me feel like a million bucks! I've had brow blading done, and also a makeup lesson! When I leave there, I feel like the most beautiful woman in the world- she is always positive, encouraging, and affirming! I so admire her for her accomplishments- she makes everyone feel wonderful!
It is unbelievable to me that Brooke even has a business. She has no knowledge of what it takes to be a business owner. When she makes mistakes, she somehow blames it on her clients. I wasn't going to post a review but over time I am still as angry as before. She showed up 45 minutes late to my friends wedding looking all hungover. Not to mention, we all could have done a much better job with longer lasting makeup than she performed. Will not ever be using her service and don't recommend.
I chose to get in touch with Brooke because I didn’t feel it was right for me to pay for a second session after being told it can totally go away in one. That lead to an argument. Her employee constantly told lies and claimed that she never once made a statement like that (I have the message) and only told me that I would need multiple sessions. Um, you telling me that does not count once you’ve already put the tool to my skin and started removing it! Not if you told me something else first. She also told Brooke that I claimed “it hurt too badly to keep going,” even though the employee was describing to her what it looked like when she was done and what she had told me after she was done, so that is contradicting. Brooke talked to me in an extremely condescending way during our whole entire conversation and basically told me there was nothing she could do about it by saying “Sorry, I wasn’t the one who sold it to you.” But then said I could pay to come in again. Brooke said that she could tell JUST by looking at my photos that I would need more than one session. So, why is she allowing employees who clearly don’t have the proper judgement give out prices and sessions? She claimed her employee is properly trained and did nothing wrong, but that is false. If you DON’T KNOW, you do not give out false statements. You say, you don’t know. I also never even asked if it would go away in one session, or how many sessions she thought I would need. She followed up to my photos, going out of her way to make it sound like it would go away in one session. Brooke is jumping down my throat about why I didn’t say something within a few days if I was unhappy, well... when someone tells you it can take 2-4 weeks to heal properly, you’re not going to create a problem until there needs to be. Also she’s made statements like “you’re mad about it months later.” Nope, I was pissed the day of. Also, it’s been two months, a little over a month since it fully healed. I was in on August 11th. I work among many other things and had the intention of going into the store, but hadn’t gotten around to it. I kept forgetting about it, it’s not in an area that I see every day and to be honest, didn’t really want to message Brooke until I had gotten advice from other people because this is how Brooke handles all complaints.
